POVERTY.

Hasn’t it always been an issue in our society?

Seeing the people who wander around the streets asking for money or food, and the people who sleep along the sidewalks with nothing at all breaks my heart every time. NO ONE deserves to be in that kind of situation.

I just wish that I can help every single one of them. But the sad reality is, I can’t. But every opportunity I get to help them, as much as possible, I try my best to do so.

I’m not putting the blame on the government fully, but I just wish that they would do something about it. Maybe build homeless shelters, so that it could lessen the people living on the streets. Or at least initiate feeding programs on a regular basis.

They probably think that doing such things would just make the less fortunate become dependent on them, but the government should at least make an effort. They don’t really have much options because the sad truth is, they don’t have anything.

Where does the money from the taxes go? I don’t think they can say that all of it goes to the country’s fund or the projects they’re doing, because we all know that it doesn’t.

I guess the government officials (not all) are probably too busy stuffing their pockets with money they got from us. They probably use it for their own sake. What a shame.

I just hope that they wake up ASAP and find it in their dark hearts to help our less fortunate brothers and sisters.

And as for everyone who helps, just keep on doing so. You may not realize it, but it means a lot to them when you help.
